PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap

SERD commenced its civil construction works in early January 2013 and completed approximately 42 km of access roads. In 2015, SERD successfully completed six exploration wells: RD-B1, RD-B2, RD-C1, RD-I1, RD-I2, and RD-C2. In 2016, the Feasibility Study was finalized, confirming proven reserves with a gross capacity of 92 MW.

After achieving financial close in 2018, SERD initiated the development phase of the project. Despite the project site being located in a remote area and construction taking place amid the Covid-19 pandemic, SERD remained committed to advancing geothermal energy development in Indonesia to support the Government of Indonesia’s energy transition goals.

Following a long and challenging journey, the SERD Project and the Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Plant successfully achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) with an installed capacity of 91.2 MW on 26 December 2021.

The COD of Rantau Dedap was officially inaugurated during the Opening Ceremony of The 10th Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE) 2022, marked by the signing of a commemorative plaque by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif.
