Exploration

PT Supreme Energy Muara Laboh (SEML) has carried civil construction activity for exploration drilling after the signing of the Power Purchase Agremeent (PPA) on March 2, 2012. The civil construction for exploration program started in 2012 and completed in 2013.

The first spud in of ML-A1 was held on September 21, 2012. Exploration drilling of wells in the Geothermal Working Area aimed to prove that the existence of geothermal resources is sufficient to build a geothermal power plant. At the end of 2012, ML-A1 and ML-B1 exploration drillings completed. Later in February 2013, ML-C1 started its spud in and finished in March 2013

A short-term test of the first well was performed in December 2012.  The result of the test has confirmed the existence of a geothermal system. The well can be categorized as a very large well, with an estimate of more than 20 MW power capacities.

The exploration drilling program covering 6 wells (ML -A1, ML-B1, ML-C1, ML-E1, ML-H1, ML-H2) has been completed at the end of September 2013.

Well monitoring, data evaluation and reserve calculation were performed in 2014. The feasibility report was completed in 2014 and revised in 2016. The EPC contractor in tender process has confirming the Muara Laboh project can be developed with capacity 80 MW for Phase I.
